Storyboards and Stills

Turn a movie outline into ordered scenes, then create and select the keyframe that anchors each shot.

Build the storyboard

The Storyboard panel is the movie outline. Add, rename, or delete scenes as the story changes. The scene strip keeps them in order. Each scene keeps its own still prompt, motion prompt, duration, versions, and selected assets.

Create the still first

Still is step 1 of 2 for every scene. Describe what should be visible, not how it moves.

1. Select a scene from Storyboard or the film timeline.
2. Describe subject, composition, location, light, lens feel, and any detail that must stay accurate.
3. Optionally attach up to three World references. They guide this scene only and never block generation.
4. In Advanced, choose an available image model, quality, and frame. Review the one-image estimate.
5. Generate a still, then select the version that should anchor motion for this scene.

Still prompt:

Medium-wide frame inside a rain-lit night cafe, Maya crossing toward the counter, warm noir palette, shallow depth of field, room for movement to the right

Motion uses the exact selected still. If you choose a different keyframe later, review or regenerate the scene's motion before previewing or exporting.

Use Notes for the wider story

Notes autosave with the movie and support a simple markdown preview. Use them for story structure, dialogue, continuity reminders, or production decisions. Put instructions that must affect a generation in that scene's prompt.
